From high-end fashion collaborations to homeware lines, clothing lines, makeup drops, and more, the beloved Japanese I.P. has long given fans more content and products to further appreciate the series. With SG5, they have now added a music act to continue fighting interstellar monsters through moon prism power. Blending Japanese talent with Western edge, SG5 is here to change the game through this modern take on the Sailor Moon I.P.
BuzzFeed sat down with the girls of SG5 to chat about their debut single, what the futures holds for them, and more.
1.If you could describe other members as a snack, what would they be?
2.Can you give an introduction to SG5 for those that may not know much about you?
Kaede: We are a girl group from Tokyo, Japan! Just as we SG5 members have our own personalities and charms, I would like to convey to women around the world through our songs and performances that "you don't have to be the same as others, you can have your own personality and charms." And we aim to be the biggest girl group in the galaxy!
3.What message do you hope to convey with your debut single “Firetruck?”
4.How was it performing together as SG5 for the first time?
Miyuu: I was very nervous, but I remember being very excited because of the audience. Since SG5 was created, it’s been a long road to get here, and I've been waiting for that moment. It’s like I’m in a dream. But it’s really a dream come true.
