"The Proud Family" Star Kyla Pratt Is Being Criticized For What She Wore To "The Little Mermaid" Premiere
Fans defended Kyla Pratt after she was criticized for what she wore to the premiere of Disney's The Little Mermaid.
If you missed it, the premiere was on Tuesday at Los Angeles's Dolby Theater. Kyla brought her daughters, Lyric and Liyah, and wore a rust-colored two-piece set with nude, pointed-toe heels.
Some people thought it was a "cute" and "casual" look, but others argued that Kyla was underdressed and thus, not really red-carpet-appropriate.
"I'm trying to understand what was going through Kyla Pratt's head when she left the house," one person tweeted.
Another joked that Kyla was "dressed like she was out running errands and suddenly remembered she had to go to the premiere."
"Kyla Pratt said lemme gon take these kids to the Lil Mermaid after I leave Krogers," read another tweet.
Some also pointed out how there were visible wrinkles on her shirt. "@KylaPratt do you own an iron ???" one person asked, sarcastically.

This led many fans to defend The Proud Family star, reminding them that Kyla was just out with her kids and dressed comfortably for the occasion.
"All the comments on Kyla Pratt’s outfit when you can see in this pic with her daughters they all collectively went for a simple, casual 'let’s go to the movies' slay!" one user wrote, alongside a photo of Kyla and her kids.

"Twitter is so caught up in what the industry normalizes, that y'all will diss Kyla Pratt for not being half naked and covered in designer at a kid's movie premiere. I'm convinced this site is where weirdos go to feel safe," said another.
