This House Recreated The Dog Sitting In Fire Meme IRL And It's The Perfect Halloween Decor For 2020
If there’s one meme that accurately represents how the world is feeling right now, it’s the one with a dog sitting in a burning house saying “This is fine.” One home recreated the meme for its Halloween decor this year, and it’s pretty iconic.
Twitter user @funangela shared photos of the home. “This house in my neighborhood every year nails Halloween decorations,” she wrote in the caption of the post. One photo shows what the place looks like during the day. In it, you can clearly see cutout drawings of flames in a window and a sign above it that says “This is fine.” A nighttime photo shows the full meme with a cutout drawing of the dog sitting on a chair in the window and surrounded by the flames. Better yet, there are lights that make the fire glow and the dog more visible in the display.

The decor prompted other people on Twitter to respond with similar decorations they’ve created or seen this year. One person shared that they made their own home's exterior look like the popular meme, and it's been up since April. Others have turned the meme into a pumpkin or put a different spin on it.

Halloween may be different this year, but clever decor is still thriving. You can go all out with a giant moving inflatable spider, put Home Depot's 12-foot skeleton in your yard, or go for a more laughable, reality-centric design.
