ORANGE GROVE — Ingleside’s quest for a district championship remained intact after the Mustangs used a 21-point second quarter to take control early against Orange Grove.
Ingleside added another 28 points in the second half and held the Bulldogs to seven points in the final two quarters to walk away with a 45-21 District 15-4A Division II win at Bulldog Stadium.

Ingleside finished with more than 500 total yards and increased its winning streak to six games ahead of next week’s potential district championship game against rival Sinton.
The Bulldogs were led by quarterback Mark Lopez, who passed for 173 yards and a touchdown and ran for a touchdown in the first half.
Kayden Schroedter also added a first half touchdown and Michael Saenz caught a touchdown pass for Orange Grove, which is now 5-4 overall and 1-2 in district ahead of next week's must-win game against Robstown.
