Here's the Augusta-area high school football player of the week for Week 11

The results are in for the Augusta-area high school football player of the week for Week 11.

The North Augusta duo of Colson Brown and DJ Curry narrowly took the top spot with 44.3 percent of the vote. Thomson quarterback Noah Story finished right behind them with 43.7 percent.

Week 11 nominees

DJ Curry/Colson Brown, North Augusta

Two players from one school is a rare occurrence here, but both deserved recognition this week. Curry carried the football 27 times for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Brown, meanwhile, completed 13 of 18 passes for 222 yards and found the end zone four times (three passing) in North Augusta's 48-22 win over Midland Valley.

Jon Jon Howard, Harlem

Howard caught a pair of touchdown passes and returned a kick 55 yards for a third score in Harlem's 42-7 win over Salem.

Joshua Crawford, Westside

Crawford had 12 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown in Westside's 13-6 win over Butler.

Telly Johnson, Hephzibah

Johnson carried the ball 18 times for 154 yards and three touchdowns in Hephzibah's 32-17 win over Richmond Academy.

Dallas Carter, Augusta Christian

Carter rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on seven carries in Augusta Christian's 37-28 loss to Cardinal Newman. He also recorded four receptions for 158 yards and a touchdown.

Noah Story, Thomson

Story was nearly perfect for the Bulldogs, completing 14 of 17 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns in Thomson's 61-0 win over Glenn Hills.
