Grubhub partners with 7-Eleven for new convenience-item delivery service dubbed 'Grubhub Goods'

Grubhub is teaming up with 7-Eleven to offer "on-demand convenience delivery" from the Grubhub app. Following a successful pilot in Manhattan, the service — called Grubhub Goods — launches nationwide on Feb. 15 and offers delivery from more than 3,000 locations in the U.S.

Delivery items include some of 7-Eleven's most popular items, including energy drinks, ice cream, and personal care products, among others.

"Diners have come to expect more choices" and partnering with the roadside convenience store was a "natural extension," Grubhub exec Kyle Goings said in a release.

“We’ve been working with 7-Eleven for years to offer their locations on the Grubhub marketplace, and it was a no-brainer to team up with the convenience leader again and bring their operational expertise and scale to Grubhub Goods," Goings added.

To celebrate the launch, Grubhub is offering customers 50% off orders of $15 or more.

Grubhub's delivery expansion comes amid the transformation of the e-commerce and delivery industry as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a report from Morris Anderson, the online grocery delivery industry is expected to reach more than $35 billion in sales by 2025.
