Girls volleyball: Here are the Fall 2021 All-North Jersey teams

After an exciting season, the following players have been selected to the 2021 Fall All-North Jersey girls volleyball teams.

Coming soon, we will unveil the nominees for Girls Volleyball Player of the Year, which will be announced at the 2022 North Jersey High School Sports Awards.

Ashanna Caviness

Bogota junior outside hitter

Caviness led North Jersey in kills with 432 and surpassed 500 for her career, leading the Bucs (27-3) to a third consecutive Group 1 state title. She added 177 digs, 21 blocks and 31 aces for a team that also won its 18th straight league title.

Annabelle He

Ridgewood senior outside hitter

A converted libero who amassed 857 career digs, He blossomed into a force on the attack for the Bergen County and North 1, Group 4 champions. She paced the team in both kills (290) and digs (270) this fall and chipped in 63 aces and 11 blocks.

Jola Olutiola

Old Tappan senior outside hitter

Despite missing the 2021 spring varsity season due to club commitments, Olutiola still reached the 500-kill milestone, posting 263 this fall and 528 in her career. She was also the leader in digs (193) for the North 1, Group 2 champions.

Cammi Quirk

Ridgewood junior setter

One of North Jersey’s most consistent servers, Quirk led the area with 86 aces in raising her career total to 155. She tallied 625 assists, 177 digs, 45 kills and 30 blocks in helping the Maroons (25-3) tie the program single-season record for wins.

Brookelyn Talmadge

Immaculate Heart junior middle

North Jersey’s No. 1 team relied on her dominance at the net to reach the Non-Public A title match. A three-year varsity starter, Talmadge was the Blue Eagles’ leader in kills (206) and blocks (44), served 27 aces and eclipsed 100 career blocks.

Ruby van der Heide

Northern Highlands senior opposite

The Columbia commit did a little bit of everything for the Highlanders (17-9), finishing first on the team in kills (148), aces (51) and blocks (16). She added 138 digs and put up 188 assists to end up with 812 for her four-year career.

Israeli drone strike kills two in major ongoing West Bank operation
