Game Balls: Top performers for Week 3 of the Southwest Florida high school football season
We have completed Week 3 of the high school football season.
There were plenty of top performances and to honor those players who gave it their all on the gridiron, we are handing out game balls for the week to players we were able to see excel on the football field.
Richard Young, Lehigh: The Lightning running back rushed for a career-high 285 yards and scored two touchdowns as Lehigh defeated Lake Gibson in a nationally televised game on ESPNU.

Week 3 Football: Lehigh, Dunbar, Fort Myers, Naples among winners on another stormy night
David Perkins Jr., Dunbar: The Tigers running back carried the ball 27 times for 143 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 1, 2, 3, and 17 yards to lead Dunbar past Bishop Verot. | PHOTOS
Landon Winterbottom, Dunbar: The Tigers quarterback passed for 206 yards and two touchdowns as Dunbar topped previously unbeaten Bishop Verot at Viking Stadium.
Malik Allen, Estero: The Wildcats running back rushed for 178 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown sprint, to help Estero top Cypress Lake. | VIDEO
Konner Barrett, Gulf Coast: The Sharks quarterback rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns and also had 132 yards passing as Gulf Coast stayed unbeaten by outlasting Port Charlotte.
Chris McFoley, Fort Myers: The Green Wave quarterback threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns in just over two quarters as Fort Myers knocked off Riverdale in a weather-shortened game. | VIDEO
Jaden Danis, Ida Baker: The Bulldogs kicker nailed a 21-yard field goal in overtime to lift Baker over its crosstown rival Mariner.
Kendrick Raphael, Naples: The Golden Eagles running back rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries as Naples shut out rival Immokalee.
Eli Moore, SFCA: The King's quarterback rushed for all five of SFCA's touchdowns in their win over Bradenton Christian. He finished with 190 yards on 13 carries, and threw for 245 yards on 27-of-38 passing with no interceptions.
L.J. Blackwell, ECS: The Sentinels running back rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns to help power ECS past Gateway Charter in a weather-shortened game.
