Former Bengals assistants Jonathan and Jay Hayes, ex-QB Bruce Gradkowski join XFL staffs
Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Bruce Gradkowski was named Thursday as the offensive coordinator of an XFL team coached by Anthony Becht. Former Bengals assistant coaches and Jonathan and Jay Hayes were named as coordinators for the XFL team coached by Bob Stoops.
Offensive coordinator Jonathan Hayes, the Bengals' tight ends coach under former head coach Marvin Lewis from 2003 to 2018, was hired in 2019 as the first head coach and general manager of the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks. Defensive coordinator Jay Hayes was the Bengals' defensive line coach from 2003 to 2016, and was the BattleHawks' defensive coordinator with his brother
Gradkowski played for the Bengals in 2011 and 2012.
In April, former Bengals assistant Jim Haslett was named one of the eight head coaches for the XFL's 2023 season. Haslett was the Bengals' linebackers coach for three seasons from 2016 to 2018.

The XFL is scheduled to kick off in February of next year. The league has not announced which teams the eight coaching staffs will coach.
