Foghat performs classic '70s rock tonight at Starlight Ranch veterans benefit
The Starlight Ranch announced that tonight’s Foghat concert would be held at its new indoor Moon Palace stage, as scheduled at 8 p.m.
Tonight’s concert will have all proceeds go to the Veterans Resource Center, which assists veterans of the Texas Panhandle who need housing, employment, legal and other services. Moving to the Moon Palace stage will ensure that the weather does not affect the event as it is a fully covered venue.
Known for its classic '70s rock hits “Slow Ride,” “Third Time Lucky,” and “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” Foghat features founding member Roger Earl on drums and former guitarist for Wild Cherry Bryan Basset on lead guitar. Rodney O’ Quinn plays bass guitar, and its newest member Scott Holt joined last year, playing rhythm guitar and performing lead vocals. Holt previously played guitar for blues legend Buddy Guy. Earl was inducted into the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame on May 21 of this year.
The group has released 17 studio albums, with six reaching gold certifications. Its most recent release was the 2021 live album “8 Days on the Road.”
