The Father Tracy Advocacy Center has recently appointed Beatriz LeBron as its new executive director.

The center, which focuses on supporting homeless or transient individuals and helping those in need of addiction treatment, said LeBron has more than 20 years of experience in social justice, education, health, racial equity, language access, and economic empowerment.

LeBron is taking over from interim Executive Director Ciara McGillivray, who has served in the position since September 2022. McGillivray will now return to her initial post as director of operations for the center.

In a press release announcing the appointment, the nonprofit's Board of Directors expressed their enthusiasm for LeBron, noting that her leadership "will continue the legacy of the late Father Laurence Tracy and support the growth of the FTAC, enabling us to continue providing services and resources to individuals in an area of the community that is often underrepresented and lacking strong advocacy."
