Fall River announces warming center will be open at Christ the Rock Church on Saturday
FALL RIVER — On Saturday, Feb. 25, Christ the Rock Church, 414 Rock St., will host a warming center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for anyone in need of temporary warming.
Residents may drop in without calling, Mayor Paul Coogan's office announced in a press release.
Anyone in need of overnight shelter is urged to call a 24-hour hotline number for shelter needs at 508-676-3528.
Street outreach workers from the City of Fall River and Steppingstone Inc. have been and will continue to patrol the city to ensure that anyone in need of shelter has access.
The City also continues to monitor forecasts for a potential storm arriving early next week and is prepared for any potential snowfall.
Residents are asked to check city social media pages (@CityofFallRiver on Facebook and Instagram) for updates on parking bans or closures.
