Evacuation orders have been issued for Florida counties as Hurricane Ian nears. See the list.

Evacuation orders are in place in several locations along the west coast of Florida as Hurricane Ian nears via the Gulf of Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds are 155 mph, making it a very powerful Category 4 storm.

Ian is expected to make landfall in southwestern Florida in the next few hours.

The hurricane is expected to cause "catastrophic storm surge, winds and flooding" in Florida soon.

Here's the list of evacuations currently in place in Florida:

In Collier County, a mandatory evacuation was issued for those living in immediate coastal areas, west and south of US 41/Tamiami Trail and in low-lying, flood-prone areas or mobile homes.

Lee County has issued a mandatory evacuation for Zone A, which generally includes barrier islands and Zone B, while Cape Coral (a majority of which is within Zone B) has issued a state of local emergency. That city's mayor, John Gunter, has said residents should start evacuating.

Charlotte County has issued evacuation orders for Zone A - Red and Zone B - Orange. Zone A is mostly barrier islands.

Sarasota County has issued mandatory evacuations for Level A, which are homes near the shore and waterways, and Level B, homes slightly more inland.

Manatee County has issued mandatory evacuations for Levels A and B, and recommended evacuation for Level C.

Hillsborough County has issued mandatory evacuation orders for Zones A and B, including all low-lying areas, mobile and manufactured homes. Evacuations should be completed by tonight at 9 p.m.

In Pinellas County, all residents in Evacuation Zone A, including mobile home residents, will be under mandatory evacuation orders by 6 p.m. Mandatory orders for evacuation zones B and C will be effective tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.

Pasco County has issued a mandatory evacuation for Zone A, manufactured homes, mobile homes and RVs, along with low-lying and flood-prone areas. In addition, a voluntary evacuation has been advised for Zones B and C, or for special-needs residents or would be vulnerable due to a loss of power.

Hernando County has ordered mandatory evacuations for all areas west of US 19, which includes evacuation zones A, B, and C. All residents living in coastal and low-lying areas, as well as manufactured homes county-wide, are included.

According to floridadisaster.org, Levy County has ordered evacuations for coastal communities, RV parks, mobile homes and low-lying areas, while Citrus County has ordered a mandatory evacuation.

Putnam County is recommending those in Zones A and F, low-lying areas and areas with a history of flooding, and those in mobile or manufactured homes to evacuate beginning Tuesday evening.

In Orange County, Fire Rescue crews are heading out to all mobile home parks, encouraging residents to stay with family or friends.

St. Johns County Emergency management officials have announced an evacuation for coastal areas of St. Johns County. This includes Zone A, Zone B and Zone F.

In Duval County, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has urged those in Zones A and B to prepare for Hurricane Ian by considering leaving their homes if they think their property is at risk of flooding.

According to Charlotte County's Emergency Management, the following is suggested should you need to evacuate:
