New Emmy Squared Pizza location to replace former Shep’s Deli building in East Nashville in late June
East Nashville is gaining a new eatery in late June. Emmy Square Pizza, popularized for its Detroit-style pizza and signature burgers, will open an additional outpost at 1000 Main Street. The building was formerly home to local staple Shep's Delicatessen, which closed on May 31.
The upcoming location in the bustling East Nashville neighborhood will mark Emmy Squared’s fourth restaurant presence in Nashville. The establishment currently has 16 locations throughout the United States in cities including Atlanta, Charlotte, Louisville, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington.
“We are delighted to unveil our newest location in East Nashville,” Howard Greenstone, Chief Executive Officer of Emmy Squared Pizza, was recorded stating in a press release.

The restaurant’s building will be 2,500 square feet. 65 seats will be available in the dining area.
In addition to classic favorites, specialized dishes reflecting the unique essence and energy of East Nashville are expected to be included only on this location’s menu.
