Detroit is getting its own 'Love & Marriage' spin-off reality TV series on OWN
Detroit is the location of another reality TV show, this one coming soon to the OWN network.
“Love & Marriage Detroit” will arrive June 24. It will become the third show in the “Love & Marriage” franchise, which also includes Huntsville, Alabama, and Washington D.C., versions.
According to Wednesday's announcement by Warner Bros. Discovery during its 2023 Upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City, the Detroit spin-off will center on three local couples described as “dynamic Black community members and leaders, this time from the ‘Comeback City’ formerly known as the ‘Motor City.’”
The first season promises to be filled with marital tensions over careers conflicts and power dynamics within the relationships. As described in the news release on the show, "secrets and past deeds haunt the couples as relationship cracks are exposed, and issues surrounding faith, resentment and broken lines of communication are tackled head on."
