Deja moo: Another cow takes a walk and this one decided to go to school 🐮
Monroe Elementary School in New Richmond had an unexpected visitor on Wednesday afternoon. A female calf escaped one of the area's nearby farms and walked across the street to the public school.
Principal Dr. Jamie Kunz was able to snap a few pictures of the wandering bovine standing outside the school's entrance.
"We have a farm across the street, and I guess there's a fair calf they were trying to wash and she ducked under the fence and came to school," Kunz said.

The cow still had her leash line on, and her owners were able to retrieve her from the school soon after she escaped, Kunz said.
Since Monroe Elementary is close to several farms, the principal said they've had cow visitors in the past.
"A few of our preschool students saw her. I think one of them said there was a cow and that the cowboy came to get her," she said.
Cow escapees have made the news multiple times in the Queen City, none more so than the world-famous Cincinnati "Cinci" Freedom, who ran away from a Camp Washington slaughterhouse in 2002.
