The Daily Money: Neil Young tells Spotify to stop playing his music – or Joe Rogan podcast

Good morning and happy Tuesday, Daily Money readers. Jayme Deerwester here with you, still recovering from the agina brought on by the last few minutes of the Bengals-Titans game. But at least my taxes are done!

Rock legend Neil Young is putting his streaming revenue where his mouth is. The Rock Hall of Famer wants Spotify to remove his music in response to the spread of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation on the platform – namely, "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast.

"I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform,” Young told his manager in an open letter Monday. "They can have (Joe) Rogan or Young. Not both."

He continued, "I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them."
