The locale’s interior now features an expansive dining room with an open concept, which includes over 50 new seats for guests, a 28-person live edge teak wood bar, a bar area featuring seven new big-screen televisions, a gift shop, phone charging stations, high top tables and custom lighting among other new additions.

“We are so excited about our new space,” said Mac DeRose, Operations Director and Partner at The Black Marlin. “The Black Marlin & Hurricane Bar is a staple on the Island and with this expansion we were able to keep the integrity and general vibe of our restaurant while at the same time, offer a more open space that’s new and different for locals and visitors alike to enjoy year-round.”

In addition, the newly renovated dining area features commissioned art reflecting the “island-inspired eatery” from artist Steve Swain from Frying Pan Gallery, who was flown in from Cape Cod to construct the sculpture on-site.

Each individual fish was built at his shop in Massachusetts and then each piece was organized and mounted on the restaurant’s wall to create the final product, which took about two full days to complete.

For those curious if the establishment’s menu underwent the same extensive makeover, the previous menu items and drinks remain the same as well as the location’s Hurricane Bar.

Happy Hour is daily from 4-7 p.m. and features deals such as $2 off of house wines, appetizers and liquor drinks as well as $1 off of all beers.
