Basketball roundup: Waverly boys stay unbeaten in CAAC Blue

DELTA TWP. — Darrius Welch picked up 18 points to propel the Warriors to a home CAAC Blue win over East Lansing. Keenan Harris tallied 11 points and Deonte Roberts added on eight points for Waverly (7-3, 2-0). Cameron Hutson scored a team-high 12 points and Jayce Branson chipped in eight points for the Trojans (4-5, 1-1). JV score: East Lansing d. Waverly

LANSING CHRISTIAN 58, LAKEWOOD 51

Benji Sambaer notched a team-high 18 points to push the Pilgrims to a home GLAC win over Lakewood. Elijah Ellis finished with 16 points for Lansing Christian (5-3, 2-2). Jayce Cusack picked up 13 points, Nathan Willette tallied 12 points and Garrett Feighan added nine points for the Vikings (5-5, 3-1).

HOLT 74, EVERETT 54

HOLT — Donye Thomas made 12 of 17 shots from the field and scored 28 points and Carter Bishop added 21 points and nine rebounds for the Rams (6-4, 1-2) in their CAAC Blue victory. Holt outscored Everett, 54-24, during the middle quarters to gain control in their win.

LAINGSBURG 91, DANSVILLE 41

LAINGSBURG — Eli Woodruff led all scorers with a career-best 35 points to lead the Wolfpack to a 10th straight victory with a CMAC win over Dansville. Zander Woodruff scored 21 points and Luke Snyder chipped in 10 points for Laingsburg (10-0, 5-0). Drew Frantz finished with a team-high 12 points for the Aggies (2-7, 2-3).

PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 52, BATH 25

BATH — Jamison Eklund finished with a game-high 18 points to help guide the Pirates to a CMAC victory over Bath. Grady Eklund tacked on 14 points for Pewamo-Westphalia (7-2, 4-1). Jacob Kuhn scored a team-high six points and Bradlee Uhlmann and Cole Chamberlain each added five points for the Bees (1-5, 0-4).
