Auburn softball vs. Ole Miss: How to watch/listen to this weekend’s series at Jane B. Moore Field

Auburn softball welcomes Ole Miss to the Plains this weekend for a three-game SEC series, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.

Ever since returning from Oklahoma City last week, the No. 19 Auburn Tigers have been on a hot streak.

Auburn swept Missouri last weekend behind excellent pitching and stellar defense. The Tigers followed up that good fortune by knocking off Samford in Homewood on Wednesday night, 10-0 in five innings. Lindsey Garcia had five RBI in the win while Maddie Penta recorded eight strikeouts and no hits in 4.0 innings of work in the circle.

This weekend’s opponent, Ole Miss, is near the bottom of the SEC standings with a 1-5 record against conference opponents. Despite only having one win, the Rebels have played close with the conference’s best teams. Last weekend at LSU, Ole Miss won the series-opening game, 5-1 before dropping the final two games of the weekend, 2-0 and 3-1 respectively.

Auburn head coach Mickey Dean says that the Rebels’ defense is what keeps them close in SEC games.

“They take care of the ball on defense. Our numbers are very similar when it comes to the pitching staffs, but both teams do it in different ways. They force a lot of ground balls and are one of the best teams in the country in turning double plays. It’s going to be another competitive series.”
