'I appreciate the life lessons': Trayce Jackson-Davis leaves IU basketball for NBA Draft
Trayce Jackson-Davis' record-setting Indiana basketball career is over.
As expected, he has declared his intention to enter the 2023 NBA Draft.
"Indiana, I appreciate the life lessons and every experience this beautiful University has taught me," Jackson-Davis said in a social media post. "I have made relationships here that will last a lifetime. From the people, places, and basketball it has truly been a pleasure to wear the cream and crimson. I will cherish this place and am happy to say that I can call it my home."

Jackson-Davis finished his IU career as the leader in rebounds (1,143) and blocked shots (270), and third in scoring (2,258).
He averaged 20.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.8 blocked shots in 2022-23, in which he earned first-team All-America and All-Big Ten honors.
He is projected as a second-round pick.
Jackson-Davis had planned to head to the NBA last year, but he contracted COVID-19 just before the scouting combine. IU coach Mike Woodson convinced the 2019 IndyStar Mr. Basketball from Center Grove High School to return to Bloomington.
