Naomi Biden is relishing in the historic moment that her grandfather Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is helping usher in.

Yesterday, Naomi took to Twitter to share a throwback photo of her and her grandfather smiling alongside President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's two daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama. Per People, the picture was taken when Barack awarded Joe the Presidential Medal of Freedom back in January 2017.

"Who run the world —> GIRLS," Naomi captioned the sentimental photo.

Joe's acceptance of the honor was recapped ahead of Barack's address to the nation on night three of the Democratic National Convention. The clip showcased Joe holding back tears as Barack bestowed upon him his last Presidential Medal as a sitting president.

Naomi also expressed on Twitter the pride she feels over her grandfather running for president and that the way he surrounds himself with strong women will help win him the election. "Tonight we learned- How @joebiden got to where he stands today: Strong women. & How he will become the next POTUS: A strong woman. @kamalaharris," wrote Naomi.

She went on to acknowledge Senator Harris's late mother, whom the vice presidential nominee honored during her acceptance speech last night. "You inspired girls around the world tonight that anything is possible. I think I know who we have to thank: Shyamala Harris," shared Naomi.
