New Adidas strategy to push online sales, sustainability

BERLIN, March 10 (Reuters) - German sportswear maker Adidas AG wants to double its ecommerce business by 2025 and make most of its products more sustainable as part of a new strategy aimed at lifting profitability closer to that of rival Nike.

Adidas said it wants online sales to hit up to 9 billion euros ($10.71 billion) by 2025 and the group's operating profit margin to reach 12-14%.

Sales should rise at 8-10% per year on average and net profit should increase by 16-18% per year. ($1 = 0.8405 euros) (Reporting by Emma Thomasson, editing by Kirsti Knolle)
