120 veterans will leave for an Honor Flight on Sunday. Here's how to help send them off.
A group of 120 veterans will be leaving for Washington, D.C., on Sunday with High Plains Honor Flight, and you can help send them off.
The trip will include veterans from World War II and the Korea and Vietnam wars, as well as Purple Heart recipients from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to a news release from High Plains Honor Flight.

What's Honor Flight?
High Plains Honor Flight is part of the national Honor Flight Network, which coordinates trips to Washington, D.C., for veterans to participate in a "day of honor at our nation's memorials" at no cost to them, according to the news release.
The trips give veterans "the opportunity to share experiences with other comrades, remember the fallen and share their stories with other veterans," the organization said in the release.
Donations fund High Plains Honor Flight's trips.

When will Sunday's trip leave?
Buses for the Honor Flight will leave The Ranch, 5280 Arena Circle in Loveland, at 8:20 a.m. Sunday, April 30, to head to Northern Colorado Regional Airport.

High Plains Honor Flight is inviting community members to line the bus route from The Ranch to Northern Colorado Regional Airport. Some ideas include making signs, waving flags and cheering as the veterans' buses pass.

The buses will start at The Ranch, and then head north on North Fairgrounds Avenue/County Road 5, east on Colorado Highway 392, south on Colorado Boulevard/County Road 13, west on Crossroads Boulevard and north on Byrd Avenue to head to Northern Colorado Regional Airport.
